Rooms or Southwest Rooms. Built in 1888 by the Bishop Family as a retreat
for city dwellers arriving by train, it has been painstakingly restored to meet
today's savvy clientele, all the while keeping its New England Heritage of

Enjoy A Culinary Experience
from Chef and owner Karen Melanie, a graduate of the French Culinary Institute and
the Pastry Arts Center, who relocated her long established NY Bistro to the
White Mountains of New Hampshire. With her 25 years experience, guests can
enjoy her New American Cuisine in an intimate candlelit filled atmosphere in
Melanie's Bistro with some of the most scenic views in New Hampshire;
truly dining redefined, or a more casual dining atmosphere in the Ammonoosuc
Pub.

The Ammonoosuc Spa our
newest addition featuring natural cork flooring and all natural paints offers a
wide selection of services, ranging from traditional massages to specialized
treatments designed especially for our guests. Our exclusive spa sessions
include the "Couples Massage Tutorial" Learn the basic relaxation techniques of massage with your
partner as our licensed professional will work together with you, as a couple.
This “hands on” session will provide you with a basic routine that you will be able to enjoy at home together.

The Country Club is
an historic golf course located on premise. The golf course was constructed in
1928 by renowned golf architect, Ralph Barton. Characteristic of this era, you
will experience undulating greens, scenic elevated tees and tricky approach
shots. The nine hole golf format provides an alternative set of tees for a
different experience the second time around. The Country Club offers a wonderful
golfing experience and it has a full pro shop, retail & rentals as well as a
short iron practice range and large practice putting green. The amenities are
endless at the clubhouse as they pay attention to the smallest of details. The
experienced staff members are always trying to make everyone feel right at home.

Our Location

secluded within 80 acres in the heart of the White Mountains of New Hampshire,
just minutes north of the famed Franconia Notch State Park, and everything the
Notch is known

Cannon Mountain, glacial basin, aerial tram, Flume Gorge, Lonesome Lake, Echo
lake, waterfalls, covered
bridges, fishing, hiking, downhill skiing, XC skiing, snow shoeing,
snow mobiling and much more. We are also within a short ride to the cog railway,
Mt. Washington, Crawford Notch, Pinkham Notch. Enjoy the spectacular vibrant
